Bringing indigenous healers to the IAAP’s Montreal Congress
Donations are being accepted to support a series of panel discussions between prominent indigenous healers and Jungian analysts at the Montreal Congress. Similar discussions were held between traditional African healers and Jungian analysts at the XVIIth IAAP Congress in Cape Town in 2007. In the Montreal panel, representatives of Canadian First Nations traditions will be represented. Analysts Peter Ammann and Muriel McMahon will serve as moderators. Indigenous healers scheduled to participate include Richard Alteo, Steven Jenkinson (www.orphanwisdom.com), Mandaza Kandemwa (www.mandaza.org), Diane Longboat and Soul of the Mother (www.soulofthemother.org), and Lewis Mehl-Madrona (www.mehl-madrona.com).
Donated funds will be used to pay travel, food, and lodging expenses for the invited indigenous healers. Any remaining funds will be utilized to support a film documenting the event.
Those who are not U.S. taxpayers may prefer make their donations by contacting Muriel McMahon directly at murielmcmahon@rogers.com.
Montreal scholarships
Donations are also being accepted to assist the IAAP in bringing routers, Individual Members, and members of Developing Groups to the Montreal Congress
